ParlaysUK has been in operation since December 2005 and with nearly a quarter of a million hits is a testament to its popularity.
The site was originally designed to find successful laying systems for UK horse racing. (By laying we mean looking for a horse to lose)
There are many systems on the site most of which are very successful but they all have their good days and bad.
During August 2007 we decided to change the systems and develop new ideas and to introduce backing systems to compliment the lays. The results to date can be found by clicking on the links to the left of this page.
Ideally a successful system should show consistent profits over a long period - in excess of three years. We have some way still to go but what we have decided to do in the meantime is proof what we consider to be the most successful system selections to Racing Index. For system backs these are shown as BACK SYSTEM 10 and for lay selections LAY SYSTEM 8. These are a moving feast as we gather more information about each system every day. For example we began by proofing all system selections to Racing Index and have slowly began to narrow them down as it became apparent some systems just do not work
SO WHAT HAVE WE FOUND SO FAR?
1. Certain types of races work better than others within the same system. You will need to look at the systems analysis to understand which ones we mean
2. Some laying systems look good opportunities to be backing systems. Its too early to say just how good but there's at least a couple of these that we are keeping a close eye on. Why this is we have no idea nor do we intend to spend too long thinking about it. Similarly Back system 5 has a 139 point loss at the time of writing and is now a relatively successful laying system in flat handicap races. However in this instance we think that the selections have reached the peak of their performance and will be beaten by more progressive or well handicapped rivals.
3. A large amount of back selections get placed
4. Profitability will be steady not a get rich quick potion
5. Late non runners can impact greatly on lay selections
6. THe highest number of lay selections are in the sp 7/2-5/1 range
7. Some days can be just so frustrating!
Selections are normally online by 10am but will always be available by mid day. If we are unable to to get the selections online we will usually leave a message on the site.
